I have a theory.
And my theory is this:
Speaking from experience, my theory occurs directly after dropping a small item to the floor from a standing position.
If you swoop to pick the item up and miss it, you are obsolutely guaranteed, without a shadow of a doubt to miss it on the second attempt!
Its a totally different story third time around. In a sudden reversal of odds, you will not fail to pick up the item. Its as certain as the passing of time.
