We went on a day trip to
Wookey Hole in Somerset whilst on holidays in
Brean.
We had a tour of the caves, visited a fairy garden, took a trip through dinosaur valley, went in the famous paper mill and played in the old penny arcade, where you can exchange regular money for old fashioned British pennies to use in the old machines.
Two of the pennies that we got, stuck out to me because of their years.
The two pictures below are of a penny that is 100 years old!
The date of this penny is when England won the
FIFA world cup final against Germany.
Note: To get most of the dirt off the coins to photograph them I used a salt and vinegar solution. It worked very well on the 1966 penny!
